GLACIER SOCIETY
It has been brought to my attention that there is a misunderstanding as to the
relationship between The Glacier Society and The USS Glacier AGB-4 Association: we are two
separate organizations, with two different agendas.
The Glacier Association is an organization whose purpose is to promote friendship,
comradeship and kinship with all who served aboard the USS/USCG Glacier. The Glacier
Society is an organization that intends on bringing the Glacier back to its once majestic
self and serving the people of this nation as a teaching ship.
Therefor, if you are under the impression when you pay your dues to the Glacier
Association you have done your duty to "SAVING the GLACIER," you are in error.
As your president I ask you to also get on board with the Glacier Society and help to save
the ship we were all so proud to serve.
